Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PC)

5 1 reviews
The biggest selling game EVER on the PS2 is coming to the PC and this version will have enhanced features including improved graphics and sound, additional PC controls, as well as several options for players to customize the game.

From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile as Grand Theft Auto returns to the PC. Vice City is a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, and is the most varied, complete and alive digital city ever created. Combining non-linear gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and are given the opportunity to take it over as you choose.

Guild Wars (PC)

Video available
Guild Wars: Prophecies (April 2005), officially known as simply Guild Wars, is the first campaign of the Guild Wars series of Action RPGs, developed by the Seattle-based ArenaNet game developer studio, a subsidiary of South Korean game publisher NCsoft. Prophecies introduced players to the world of Guild Wars, known as Tyria, and premiered several elements that are now known as core components of the Guild Wars games.
Like all Guild Wars campaigns, Prophecies contains a co-operative role-playing portion and a competitive Player versus Player (PvP) portion. Co-operative characters may be used in the competitive portion, or new PvP-specific characters may be created at maximum level and all skills unlocked to the accounts.

Guild Wars: Eye of the North (PC)

Video available
Guild Wars: Eye of the North is the first, and only, expansion pack to the Action RPG Guild Wars made by the Seattle-based ArenaNet studio, a subsidiary of NCSoft. It was released worldwide on August 31, 2007. Unlike other games in the Guild Wars sequence, Eye of the North requires players to own one of the earlier three campaigns. It features no tutorial content and is intended for characters that have reached level 10 or higher.

Eye of the North does not feature new professions, but has 18 new "multilevel" dungeons, 150 new skills (50 of them restricted to PvE), 40 new armor sets, and 10 new heroes, in addition to the new items, weapons, and titles added as usual in every Guild Wars campaign. It is in part intended to act as a bridge from Guild Wars to Guild Wars 2 and will introduce the new races of the Norn (dwellers on the icy slopes of the Shiverpeak Mountains to the north), Asura (inhabitants of the southern part of the Maguuma Jungle), and Sylvari, all of which will be playable in the sequel.

Eye of the North continues the Prophecies story, which is told in three acts. In Act I, a great earthquake tears across the three continents of Tyria, Cantha and Elona, revealing entrances to a network of underground tunnels. From there, players enter into the homelands of the Charr (from the Prophecies story) to the north, the Asuras to the west, and the Norn at the far end of the Shiverpeaks. The story culminates with a battle against the Great Destroyer, the chief antagonist of the dwarven pantheon.

Guild Wars: Factions (PC)

Guild Wars Factions is an Action RPG released in 2006 by ArenaNet, the second in the Guild Wars series. Players are able to join in this conflict, assisting their chosen faction in claiming towns on the game map.
Factions has a new PvE campaign, two new professions in addition to the original six, new skills and armor for existing professions, new gameplay modes for both PvE and PvP, and gameplay modifications in response to criticism of the earlier Prophecies campaign. Factions can be bought as a stand-alone game or can be added to an existing Prophecies account to produce a merged account with several benefits. Most of the PvP content from Prophecies is available to Factions-only accounts.

Half Life (PC)

5 3 reviews
If you thought all action games were the same, think again. Half-life's intricate enviromental challenges rich story-line, and frighteningly intelligent adversaries add up to a new kind of challenge - one that demands you use your weapons and your wits. Monsters don't walk blindly into your gunfire - they're cunning as hell and they want to live as badly as you do. Friendly characters aren't cannon fodder - they're critical to your success. Add 16-bit colour, machines you control, and realistic 3D sound effects and you've got a game that is so alive, so intelligent, so real, you'll swear it has a pulse.

Half Life 2 (PC)

5 3 reviews
By taking the suspense, challenge and visceral charge of the original, adding startling new realism and responsiveness, Half-Life 2 opens the door to a world where the player's presence affects everything around him, from the physical environment to the behaviours - even the emotions - of both friends and enemies.

The player again picks up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa. And a lot of people - people he cares about - are counting on him.
