My current Cooler Master Ammo is fine except that everything is congested and it is har to work with. I tried to remove the CPU cooler which was a nightmare to remove because of the PSU. The PSU, on teh other hand could not be removed because of the CPU cooler.

So I thought that if I will ever get another case, it should be specifically design to reduce clutter and wires. I know there are some that allow cables to pass from behind the motherboard plate.

Do you have any experience with such cases? Which one would you go to? I don't care about looks, I am just concerened about practicality where it comes to the way the components can be worked with. I am even considering building my own wooden case if necessary.

I have a NZXT Phantom and it has plenty of space and cables can pass behind the mobo plate. Although I don't make much use of it cause I don't have that many cables running around to begin with, it is quite useful and can make the inside look very neat. It will also help with airflow. Just make sure you have long cables or extensions as I've had trouble with cables not being long enough to pass behind the plate and reach their destination.

Dont worry, modern cases have the psu at the bottom so even if you have an aircooler you dont have any problem with them hitting each other.

I too have an nzxt phantom and even though it is not the biggest of full towers it is amazing. I have an sli built in it and practicality is still great.

Go for any case even mid towers.

This case has recently caught my eye and apart from looks it is quite practical.

You should even look to corsair for cases. Best materials and ofcourse its corsair.

NZXT appear to be the way to go, but not the H440 since I still would like to use my optical drives. The H630 seems to be more suited for me.

This is the wooden case I mentioned earlier.

I recently got a new case, but the cable management options were not that great as it was really hard to pass connectors in the limited holes/slots at the back.

Any suggestions of budget cases that offer good cable management options?

Eventually, I settled for this:

It's good enough for me but I am not sure if it fits your cabling needs.
